- Nemoa polyester cast is composed of a specially knitted, multi-directional stretch polyester fabric impregnated with polyurethane resin. Designed for use in the production of definitive orthopaedic casts and splints. It is also suitable for use in specialized prosthetic and orthotic devices.

Features
- 1. Hygiene : Nemoa casts are light weight, durable and water resistant. The open weave allows the skin to ‘breathe’, decreasing sweating, itching, maceration and resulting body odours.
- 2. Conformability & Moldability : The multi-directional stretch of the Nemoa carrier bandage enables easy application and conforms well to the body contours without the need for tucks or folds. The low tack resin coating allows easy molding.
- 3. Radiolucency : Excellent X-ray translucency negates the need to remove casts in order to obtain a clearly detailed film image for diagnostic purposes. The minimal ‘image obscuring’ also enables decreased radiation exposure.
- 4. Strength : Nemoa Casts have the strength, rigidity and lightness of comparable fiberglass casts.
- 5. Removal : Easy to remove using cast saw.
- 6. Low Dust : Nemoa produces significantly less dust than fiberglass products during removal with conventional cast saw.
- 7. Disposal : Removed casts can be incinerated resulting in decreased environmental pollution and landfill.
